Say the name Moniek Vanden Berghe and I wonder what you think of? Possibly bridal design. Moniek was responsible for the stunning Flowers in Love trilogy and then produced Flowers in Tears which once again took the world by storm. However, for many years now we have been awaiting a volume that would show the world just how wide ranging her work actually is! We have no idea why it took so long for this book to be produced but finally it has and Moniek has kindly allowed us to feature a selection of the featured designs in Issue 63 of Fusion Flowers magazine.
We've always loved her work but there are so many gorgeous designs in this book, that it's hard to select one that we think is best. However, after much thought, editor of Fusion Flowers, Alison Bradley, opted for Moniek's take on an updated version of the Victorian styled glass domed design. In her version, Moniek uses bleached, skeletonised, physalis heads to reproduce a tree-like form and it's beautiful and Alison waxes lyrical about it in the magazine!
You can see the full story and images in Issue 63 of Fusion Flowers.
