The much anticipated latest issue of the International Floral Art annual has just been released. The book is made up of contributions from designers from all over the world who submit their designs for consideration by a panel of judges. For each edition, the panel of judges changes and this time around the panel was made up of principal teachers from European design schools. These volumes have become collector’s items with many previous editions sold out.

The work is wide ranging and by the very nature of the concept means that it’s extremely interesting!

The judges award a series of three awards – Gold Leaf, Silver Leaf and Bronze Leaf. The winner of the Gold Leaf and premier award is Hideyuki Niwa of Japan with an amazing collection of work. Silver Leaf went to Elisabet Morato Roig of Spain for her collection of highly textural designs. The Bronze Leaf went to Germany’s Ulrich Stelzer. Ulrich’s stunning ‘furrow field’ designs were featured which we have always admired and the three award winners showed how diverse the range of work submitted truly is. We look forward to the next edition!
