In 2011 we held our second Fusion Flowers International Designer of the Year Competition and, once again, we received entries from all over the world. Competitors were required to submit a portfolio of four very different designs, one in each of the categories - 8th Wonder of the World; Fusion Fashion; White on White and Facets on a high resolution disc. Photographs could be taken by either a professional or amateur photographer.

The three international judges were each sent a digital book of all the portfolios that had been submitted and they in turn were invited to select the winners and could issue various awards - Gold, Silver, Bronze and, in the case of remarkable and high scoring work, Platinum. Each judge was not aware of the names of the other members of the judging panel until after judging had been completed. The judges were David Beahm, USA; Stef Adriaenssens, Belgium and Björn Kroner, Germany.

The overall winner of the 2011 title, Andy Djati Utomo of Indonesia, won an outright award together with £1,000.00. The Second and Third prize winners were also each awarded an outright award.

The award winning designs have now been compiled into a digital book available to download for only £6.00. Now you can appreciate the range and scope of these remarkable designs. The 2012 competition is now open for entries.
