Circles of Success

In Issue 35 Finnish Master Florist, Niina Minkkinen, makes a welcome return to Fusion Flowers magazine.  Niina recently passed the last module of her Master Florist examination at Kempele Master School in Finland and, after a little persuasion, agreed to explain to readers some of the work entailed in sitting a floristry examination at this level.  This is, therefore, the first part of a series of articles from Niina showing the highs and lows in step-by-step detail.

This article reveals her thought processes and actual work behind one of the most beautiful wreaths that any of the Fusion Flowers team have ever seen.

Although additional decoration could be made at the time of the examination, Niina had to make the base of her wreath from only one type of plant material.  This therefore meant that every aspect of the wreath including the mechanics had to come from that genus of plant material.  For example if she had decided to use glue - it had to be made from plant material.

You can find out the processes and the details on how to make the beautiful wreath in Issue 35 of Fusion Flowers magazine.
