A Bridal Bouquet by Andy Djati Utomo S.Sn AIFD

160 pages Hardback Written in English and Indonesian Published in 2007 by PT. Gramedia Pustaka Utama – Indonesia Photography by Ruby Chrissandy S.Sn

It’s always interesting to see influences and techniques from another country particularly when these refer to bridal bouquets. Andy kindly sent a copy of his book to us as a gift but we were so impressed by some of the work, we asked if it would be possible for us to import it to offer to our readers. This he kindly agreed to do and the result is that we can now offer you this remarkable book to buy.

Andy’s work, which we first featured in Weddings 4, was extremely well received and we instantly had colleges and florists asking if he had ever produced a book. What is quite unusual about the book is that it also gives a few step-by-step designs for you to follow which gives a real insight into oriental design. The attention to detail is remarkable. However, we suspect that not all of the bouquets will appeal to Western tastes but, and it is a big but, the techniques will most certainly appeal. This is principally because they could be adapted for other designs too.

The book is extremely well laid out and the photography is excellent. We expect that this will be very popular if for no other reason than it is such a good opportunity to view this type of work.
