Eight Belgian designers combine their talents to create bouquets that communicate a special message.
To that effect, eight Belgian florists have produced a book showing illustrations of their type of handties. They have in fact created 100 bouquets of differing styles and content. The results are diverse and interesting - although some appear to be more arrangements than handtied bouquets! In Issue 32 Fusion Flowers gives readers a peek inside this lovely little book at several very different designs. The subject of handtie bouquets can often be a vexing one. I remember an occasion when a florist called us to say that her staff told her that it took too long to make handtie bouquets rather than the old-fashioned flat packed ones. Fortunately we could explain how to make the bouquets to the lady concerned but clearly this subject is one that offers other designers lots of scope.
