1000s of Flowers, 20 Florists...

Once every four years there is a European floristry event like no other - it's called The Europa Cup.  This time around it was held in Slovenia and twenty countries sent their representative to compete for arguably the most prestigious European prize there is!  The competition is in fact a marathon for all involved including, by all accounts, our reporter and photographer!

Tracy and Frank Tomlinson travelled to Slovenia to report on the competition for Fusion Flowers and we were so inspired by what they found that we decided to run a 3-part report from the show.

In Issue 39 Tracy gives an overall view and we feature images from the first section entitled Pippi's Feast.  Selected for this report were designs from Norway, Armenia, Austria, Germany, Finland, Hungary, Russia, Belgium and the UK.  Tracy's first hand account gives a real feel for the whole event and, given that she is herself an international judge, she gives an insight into some of the judging too.

Like most events there was quite a lot of controversy and we're sure that you will have your own thoughts on the results.  However you see all the markings and results in Issue 39 - we know you'll find it stimulating!
