There is no doubt that most people think that flower arranging is an easy thing to do and it is often the case that many feel that there is no need to learn the basics - but that simply is not true. Without that knowledge arrangements will collapse, die or, even worse, fall over! More over there are many so-called teachers who in fact understand little if anything about theory and history and it is for this reason that if you seriously want to understand and progress you must find a good, experienced tutor.
Clearly Gudrun and Nico are aware of the problems and this is why they produced their little book with I suspect more to come! In Issue 38 we give readers a little taste of some of the designs featured.
