Chelsea 2007

When sub editor, Catharine Watson, pulled on her wellies and set off to the Chelsea this year she took a new photographer with her - her son Lewis.  Catharine was, as ever, searching for garden inspiration for readers and this year she found several to report on.

In Issue 37 Catharine gives her first report which relates mainly to the garden designs on offer and indeed the obvious problems of climate change.  Her favourites include Andy Sturgeon's Cancer Research UK garden with its amazing 30 metres of curved ok ribbons; 600 Days with Bradstone by Sarah Eberle and her gorgeous hanging containers; Urban Oasis by Laurie Chetwood and Patrick Collins whose 12 metre high sculpture featured in the BBC's report; A tribute of Linnaeus Designer by Ulf Nordfjell and its use of traditional materials; Un-Tei Garden of Clouds by Kazuyuki Ishihara (a personal favourite) with its bun moss walls and clever use of water and the DHL Sun Chariot Garden by Andrew Marson and its revolving seating area!

In Issue 38 Catharine reports on some super new plants and flowers that will inspire everyone be they gardener or arranger.
