This is the latest in the series of small, commercially orientated step-by-step books produced by Life3. So far the series has produced some interesting ideas but perhaps this is the most exciting! Genuineoriginality is shown here and, interestingly, many of the techniques and ideas could be transposed to different disciplines.

For example, using newspaper to cover a straw wreath form which is then coated in wax has almost endless possibilities and therefore there is a lot to learn here. Techniques that are seldom thought applicable to floristry are also on show - gold leafing applied to dried leaves is a gorgeous touch. The ideas range from classical forms through to some of the most cutting edge designs around.

This therefore is a book that we recommend not only to students, tutors and florists - in fact - this has potential for floral designers too. Life3 have done it again! The photography is excellent, the instructions clear and there is, once again, a brief history of sympathy funeral flowers together with their vision of the future. This book is highly recommended.
