It has been an interesting journey watching the three men who make up Life3, Per Benjamin (Sweden), Max van de Sluis (The Netherlands) and Tomas De Bruyne (Belgium) develop and grow not only in their personal design skills but as a team too. The release of their latest book, Passionate Emotions, encouraged me to look back at their first book entitled Emotions to see how they had progressed and there’s absolutely no doubt that they have matured. Not only is the style of layout more effective but the presentation and nature of their work is more sophisticated too.Passionate Emotions covers a large range of styles and is in effect a showcase. Beautifully photographed, the book cleverly uses current trends not only in design styles but in interiors too and simply oozes with colour. There is passion here and you can feel it as they contrast fresh, vibrant design with sensuous glamour.
In practical terms there is inspiration here too but be under no illusions, this is a book by three experts in their field and they are right on the mark. They cover everything from bouquets right through to massive room settings. This is certainly a book for the serious collector and I know there will be many amongst you who will become very, dare I say it, passionate about this volume!
