Hapene is a unique product from New Zealand. Each leaf is in fact a phormium tenax leaf which has been hand stripped of the flesh to reveal a skeletonised form. The hapene leaves are quite flexible and, if treated with respect, will last for years. This product is very popular with floral designers, interior designers and artists as it offers you the opportunity to create something which has a transparent quality. It is completely natural and highly decorative.
Hapene is now available in three styles hapene large pressed, hapene curled or (in limited availability) hapene extra long. By popular demand we always take hapene to sell at the NAFAS national competitions where we are mobbed because the leaves are so treasured. We cannot recommend this product enough - it's quite simply beautiful.

Hapene are versatile leaves for contemporary and interpretative work. The natural ones are most useful I find because you can spray paint them any
colour to go with your design. They also take glitter and if they get damaged drip glue over them for another effect, then spray and glitter. Choose
curled ones for contrast. Great! I love them.
