The work of Damien Koh features regularly on the pages of Fusion Flowers magazine and there’s a reason for that – we consider him to be a gifted and highly talented designer. In this his first book, Damien Koh, Monograph, Damien reveals the real story of how he became the international floristry success that he is today. The road was clearly not an easy or simple one and it seems to have involved a lot of self-examination and soul searching but the person who emerged from that onto the international stage is a highly accomplished, technical designer with a generous and giving nature.
The really nice thing about this book is that we actually enjoyed reading the text! Not only is there Damien’s story but there is also information on how all of the designs can be recreated should you wish to do so and it has been laid out in such a way, that the information is not at all intrusive on the images. Damien is a teacher and it shows. A great deal of expertise has been used to create these designs and I am certain that they will inspire people around the world to take a fresh look at what they themselves do.
The work in this book is not only that of a florist but that of a floral designer too because there are signs of greatness here and perhaps that was the light at the end of the tunnel of Damien’s very personal journey too. We are delighted to be able to offer readers this book for their library.
