Brigitte Heinrichs is a very popular German teacher and designer who travels the world sharing her knowledge wherever she goes. She is also a regular contributor to Fusion Flowers. In this, her first book, Brigitte tackles the very popular subject of table flowers. In truth, this book covers far more than that and includes large scale foyer designs, event floristry and seasonal work too.
The strength of this book is that it is effectively a teaching module on
not only this subject but refers to the principles of design, technical
information, what to use and when and how to. The book is constructed
in such a way as to cross reference almost everything in the book which
means that you can double check information as you work. It is therefore
a perfect reference book too.
Brigitte is a plantswoman and it shows in her work. The way she presents
and handles her plant material is a joy to see. There is of course a
strong European feel to this book but, interestingly, she also includes
several classical designs and most of them have an up-to-date twist. I
suspect that this book will become a handbook for many and will almost
automatically become a bestseller too. We are delighted to be able to
recommend this book for your library.
