Fusion 43 - Look Inside!

Issue 43 of Fusion Flowers magazine, released on the 18th July 2008 celebrates our 7th Anniversary by giving readers 100 pages in a one-off special – so they can join in the celebrations too!

New to Fusion Flowers is Florian Seyd originally from Germany, now resident in The Netherlands with an arrangement inspired by an alpine walk.  Also new to the team is Eileen Avery-Scott from the UK who shows you how to take a craft based idea and use it in your design work.  From Germany Brigitte Heinrichs continues her series with a clever idea using foam spheres to create a container for your designs.  Kristin Voreland, former European Champion, returns with an amazing idea using test tubes and garden flowers.  The UK’s Wendy Andrade creates an ingenious but simple idea with colourful mechanics and seasonal flowers using the very popular Pepe Cones.  Regular contributor from Australia, Mark Pampling, explains why bending stems can allow you to develop a very chic arrangement and Singapore’s Damien Koh combines his love of food with floristry to create a masterpiece on a plate!

International Floral Art 08/09 is out and we have a wonderful preview for readers.  In fact, our celebration front cover design by Pirjo Koppi of Finland shows just how special some of these designs are!

Niels Van Hemert reports from Girona on the work behind the creation of the spectacular Cathedral steps concept for the annual floral festival.  Better yet, several Fusion Flowers readers responded to his appeal in Hot & Happening and became designers on the day.

From the Chelsea Flower Show we review the work of the contemporary floral designers and see some amazing new peony roses from the Kelways stand.  Oh – and Keith Atkey returns with his recommendations for growing the best peonies around.

Can there be more – we hear you ask?  Well yes – we also take a look at a stunning exhibition in Copenhagen with Jens Poulsen explaining what it was all about.  Another feature takes a look at Japanese work from the IPM Essen trade show AND we have a personal tour around the garden of international florist supreme – Florian Seyd.  Of course there’s more on offer too – but to find out what it is – you’ll have to take a look inside!

So don’t delay – subscribe today to make sure you don’t miss out on any of these treats.
